The city of Dallas is one of the largest cities in Texas with the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area ranked at the top for job creation in the U.S., where core industries such as defense, transportation, energy and financial services have contributed dramatically employment growth in recent years.

The city’s extensive railroad system has made it an important freight center for cargo transportation across the country.  The value of a home amounted to an average of $250,000 at the end of the first half of 2015, representing a 1.5% increase compared to the same time period in 2014. Housing capital appreciation in Dallas was approximately 35% in the past decade, translating into an average annual of over 3%.
